Performance Requirement
This class will perform in our student showcase at the Alberta Rose Theatre on May 16th & 17th at 1 PM and 5 PM; availability for both days and all showtimes is required to participate.
This is a choreography class for teens who want to create an aerial act. Please send an email to afterglowpdx@gmail.com if you’d like to sign your teen up for this class and they haven’t taken it before.
Pre-Reqs:
- Straddle up on each side 2x with out coming down to rest
- Do single/double foot knots & dancer foot wraps with ease
- Be able to do 2 consecutive, straight legged hip keys in the air (on each side)
- Climb silks 4 times without touching the ground (regular climbs)
- Knowledge of catchers, salto, & windmill wraps
- Have a solid Straddle Climb

- Pro tip: Two classes per series is the sweet spot for building strength, flexibility, and aerial confidence.
- Heads up: Coaches may have a substitute teacher from time to time.
