Silks 2 & 3 – Thursday

Silks 2 & 3- Each 90 minute class is designed to continue learning more complex moves to build strength, poise, flexibility, and stability. This class will also focus on putting moves together to create an act. We will do our fair share of spins and drops in Silks 2 & 3 as well. Pre-Reqs:

  • Straddle up on each side 2x with out coming down to rest
  • Be able to do 2 consecutive, straight legged hip keys in the air (on each side)
  • Climb silks 4 times without touching the ground (regular climbs)
  • Knowledge of catchers, salto, & windmill wraps
  • Have a solid Straddle Climb
  • Comfortable w/ spotted Skin The Cats & Meat Hooks (on both sides)

  • Pro tip: Two classes per series is the sweet spot for building strength, flexibility, and aerial confidence.
  • Heads up: Coaches may have a substitute teacher from time to time.
