Contortion – Tuesday

This class is for those who have completed an Active Flexibility series and are ready to move to the next level. Learn the techniques and build the muscles necessary to begin training contortion positions. Identify muscle imbalances and tight areas that are holding you back. Teacher is the one and only, Karli. She has a strong passion for performing and the art of movement, and is a professional at hands on contortion spotting & training.
It is recommended that you take the Active Flexibility series a few times before the Contortion series.

Pre-Reqs:

  • Comfortable working on flat splits
  • Actively working on chest stands
  • Comfortable w/ various inversions, including forearm stands and contortion handstands
  • Willing to work on leg scales (front, “Y”, needle)
  • A good/comfortable bridge, able to straighten legs
  • An open mind and a good attitude, no whining!! 🙂

  • Drop in class: Email us to check availability. Your spot isn’t guaranteed until it’s confirmed!
  • Sign-up heads-up: Try to register at least 48 hours before a series starts. Late to the party? Just send us a quick email.
  • Pro tip: Two classes per series is the sweet spot for building strength, flexibility, and aerial confidence.
  • Heads up: Coaches may have a substitute teacher from time to time.
